Great ambience, attentive staff and extensive menu. Gladly again!

Nice and courteous service! Well coordinated, very stylish ambience. Fantastic meat! But also steep prices. We were there at the weekend, a DJ was hired who consistently played club sounds at a volume that was much too high. A normal conversation while eating was therefore hardly possible.

Nice ambience, very friendly, attentive and nice service and fantastic food. We liked it a lot and we'd love to come back!

The ambience and the furnishings are very high quality and well done. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! All in all a very successful evening! We would love to come back!

The quality of the food was okay, but unfortunately only lukewarm. Great location, nice staff. We had chosen this place because of a special occasion and found the price / performance ratio to be inadequate. I also find the fact that a customer satisfaction survey is carried out after a visit to the restaurant and after extensive feedback one does not get any more reaction from the restaurant is a bit strange. Conclusion: We ate much better for less money.

I enjoyed my experience there greatly! From the stylish decor and jazzy music, to the friendly staff. And most importantly the food was great and nicely presented. Great overall service

The restaurant is in one of the best locations in Düsseldorf, at the Medienhafen. Great view, great menu, the food is expensive but delicious - but the staff, especially the gentleman who receives the guests (I assume a leading specialist, tall, slim, bald) is anything but the restaurant's reputation . Very aloof and very arrogant how he treats the guests there. As a native of Düsseldorf, I have visited the Rocca very often, but thanks to this gentleman, it was definitely the last time. Even if I am not (yet) affected by his condescending manner, I have unfortunately seen this several times myself and heard from friends who are now avoiding the restaurant. Too bad.

I was here on a friday when it wasnt busy at all and everything was great! I went back a week later on a saturday with my husband after telling him how much i liked this restaurant. The interior, the atmosphere, the staff all was great but this time it was way more busy. We did not have to wait very long for our food unlike the table next to us who arrived a little bit after us. They still hadnt had their food at 11pm. The meat of my hamburger was icecold when it arrived and it took me a long time to call our waitress. So i told an other waiter about it but he didnt seem to care since he was working in the other area and never passed this to the waitress who was responsable for our table. 10min later i decided to go to the open kitchen myself where the manager was. He immediately handled this and another young waiter (Samir) took over and made sure we were served and happy about everything for the rest of the evening, unlike our waitress (short blond hair) who seemed to take orders at every table but never made sure the drinks/ food actually arrived. She had no overview of her orders which made that people had to wait very long for their drinks/food. As someone who has over 20y of experience as a waitress and bartender i must say the young guy Samir who was new (he told us) did a very good job in handeling the 3 situations we were complaining about. Some people are made to do this job and he certainly is one of them.

We had a wonderful time here. Unfortunately, the operation is a bit slow. But that did not spoil the fun for us.

It's a bad restaurant in a good place. If you're a vegetarian, I would hardly not suggest it. They only have beef in different variations. Even the pasta is with beef and the service was a catastrophy. Although there were only 10 customers including us, we waited 20 minutes to pay the bill. Good for drinking something though.

Had to wait for a very long time to get serviced, even though other people got their food before me. In the end I just got up and left.

If a wasp flies into your drink when you've just got it, it's your own fault. Will be charged twice when you get a new drink. Unfriendly staff is included.

It was our first time at the Rocca 800 rad the food the wine and the ambience was fantastic and very tasty. Kudos to the kitchen and the service.

Very nice ambience, the location is good and the food tastes great. No long waiting time, the service was friendly and courteous and our extra requests were also taken into account.

The ambience and the starters were first class. Unfortunately, it took too long until the food was served. The starter came about 60 minutes after entering the store, another 50 minutes passed between the starter and main course. Unfortunately, the mood and joy were gone. The waiters were friendly but very inattentive and totally overwhelmed. Salt and pepper were missing on the table, until this arrived we were almost finished with the meal. It's a shame

Decent steak

Excellent drinks and appetizers (I recommend the grilled octopus). If you have the chance to sit outside do so, the large patio is right next to the water, and there are umbrellas for especially hot days.

I like to eat classy and upscale. Due to the location, the good reviews and the prices, I assumed a good meal. At 8:00 p.m. we reserved a table. When all the guests arrived at 8:15 p.m. we ordered our starters and main courses around 8:30 p.m. At 9:30 p.m. we received our starter. After we then contacted the manager at 10:15 p.m., we received the information that [...] "the main course was only booked at 9:18 p.m. and due to the high occupancy rate, the main course was down tonight somewhat delayed "[...]. At 10:30 p.m. we finally received our long-awaited already COLD meal. This was "served" to us loudly (the plate rattling). Until the payment was made, no single waiter was seen at our table, nor were we offered an apology or anything similar. This was my first and last visit to this place.

unfriendly service, no flexibility / accommodating extra requests, long waiting times, ... we wanted to eat there, but left after 20 minutes and a glass of water, because we were only fed up with lazy excuses why it takes so long and that we but please see that the whole shop is full (no guest inside, about 50% of the tables occupied outside). 2 stars because of location & location, otherwise not recommended ...

The food was good, but the service of our waitress was just not at the level I expected for such restaurants. She seemed to be more interested in chatting with other guests then serving and taking care of the well being of all the guests who are also there.

The hamnurger was quite unique

The restaurant is named after its high temperature oven. At 800 degrees, steaks and other red meats only take about 30 seconds, while the fat is supposedly caramelized. If you are not into red meat, no worries, you can indulge in lobster, tuna and salmon. Starter options are ample. The same goes for the wine and liquor card. You can choose from a daily, as well as a standard menu. For dessert there are a handful of creative dishes which you won't find at other restaurants. Service is fine although we had to protest to get a table for 3 due to reservations commencing 2 hours later! Credit cards, including American Express, are accepted. Our dishes were fine even though my tuna steak could have been provided with more sauce - it was a bit "dry" for my taste despite being fresh! The food was tasty nevertheless! The entire affair for 3, including a bottle of wine, a bit pricey (ca. €250 total bill).

I have spotted this restaurant in the afternoon and decided to come back in the evening, which was a very good idea. Staff is very friendly, fast, supper attentive. Steak of course excellent. Very recommended.
